I was born in Albany, Georgia, but at the age of five moved with my family to Germany, where I resided in a small village near Kaiserslautern, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany, until I turned 18 and returned to the United States. I completed my bachelor's and master's degrees at Colorado State University; after medical school I returned to Colorado to complete my residency in family medicine at St. Anthony's Hospitals in Denver. After a brief stint in urgent care, I transitioned back to traditional family medicine, looking forward to long term, multi-generational relationships with patients and their families. Today, my wife and I share our home in Divide with a diverse mix of rescued dogs, cats, horses and a donkey. We love taking the dogs on excursions into the national forest, hiking, snowshoeing and horseback riding.
