One of my most rewarding experiences was running the general medical ward in a mission hospital in Kenya. I loved the intellectual challenge and felt privileged to develop close relationships with the Kenyan people who were my patients. I love the mental challenge and problem solving aspect of Internal Medicine, but I also really enjoy developing relationships with patients. I love educating people about both disease and prevention, and giving patients the tools to achieve their best possible health. My special areas of interest include cardiovascular diseases such as hypertension and coronary artery disease, diabetes, and sports medicine. I am happily married, and keep busy with numerous outdoor activities, our church, and a very energetic toddler.
